After a quick lunch of pierogi in the old city of Wroclaw, Breslau, Poland, we performed at the brand new concert hall, the National Forum of Music. The Philharmonic and Zubin Mehta were the first foreign orchestra to perform in the hall which opened only two weeks ago! It is a fantastic facility: beautiful dressing rooms, plenty of room backstage and incredible acoustics.
We played the best Mahler of the tour!
Wroclaw, which was called Breslau when it was part of Germany, has been designated the European Union’s Capital of Culture for 2016.
