Rachel Daliot was born in Israel and grew up in Norway. She received her bachelor’s degree in Choral Conducting (as a student of Maestro Aharon Harlap) and Music Theory at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she also studied flute with Moshe Epstein and voice with Bibiana Goldenthal.

Rachel furthered her studies in Choral Conducting at the Norwegian State Academy of Music from 1990 to 1992 under Terje Kvam and Stefan Sköld. She has conducted choirs in Norway and Israel. Rachel started working at the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Library in 1998 and has been Principal Librarian since 1999.

Between 2014 and 2016, she served as librarian of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, as part of a sabbatical leave from the Israel Philharmonic.
