The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is the ultimate endgame for student musicians at the acclaimed Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University. As often as possible, student musicians participate in programs offered by the orchestra as part of their professional training, including attending master classes, rehearsing and performing with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and performing in the Buchmann-Mehta Orchestra, sometimes conducted by Maestro Zubin Mehta. Many orchestra members are graduates of the Buchmann-Mehta School. In addition, several IPO musicians are on faculty at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, sharing their professional expertise with aspirational music students.

This event spotlights the symbiotic relationship between the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv and is a way for supporters of either or both organizations in the United States to extend their support to the future of classical music of the highest order in Israel.
