Support Education

Why Support the IPO KeyNote Education and Outreach Program?

When you teach children to enjoy music, you give them a gift they will treasure for the rest of their lives.

From the Orchestra’s inception, educating people to the exhilarating world of the classics and the power of music has set the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra apart from all other ensembles.  Encouraging interest in classical music, bringing families to the Mann Auditorium for special concerts and seeking new musical prodigies are a few of the IPO programs that expand the ranks of Israeli artists and brings music to the people of Israel.

IPO concerts, designed for the KeyNote program, are part of a year-long music curriculum brought to kindergarten through high school students, helping children and young adults learn about music and its value to their lives.

Your KeyNote dollars at work…

The KeyNote programs provide over 29,000 school children each year with numerous experiences to listen and enjoy classical music.  With the Israeli public schools offering a very modest music education, the IPO programs enrich the children’s exposure and understanding of music.

The current demand for these programs far exceeds KeyNote’s capacity to bring IPO musicians into the schools and students to the Mann Auditorium to attend a full IPO symphony concert.  Your support for this program will have a direct impact on the lives of the children of Israel!
