Founder ~ $25,000Join a distinguished group of American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra by becoming a

single performance by the IPO in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Haifa will be performed in your honor or in the memory of a loved one. Credit will be given in the concert program and in the AFIPO’s donor list.
Concert for Life ~ $100,000Endow an annual IPO concert in perpetuity and be listed in the concert program as a Benefactor for that particular performance – a unique way to honor a friend, relative or the memory of a loved one.
Musician’s Chair ~ $150,000-$250,000The IPO is known as the “orchestra of soloists” because its original members were first-chair musicians in the orchestras of Germany and Eastern Europe. Equivalent to a distinguished professorship at a leading university, the gift of
Endowing a Musician’s Chair will be acknowledged below a musicians name in every IPO concert program worldwide.
Endow and Name the IPO Archives ~ $500,000The IPO history predates the establishment of the State of Israel and its archives include information pertaining to the efforts of its founder, Bronislaw Huberman, as well as programs, posters, photographs, letters, memorabilia, tapes, compact discs, videos, and articles. We welcome the opportunity to name the
IPO Archives in recognition of a donor who appreciates the importance of preserving this rich history for its use by scholars for research, the general public to enjoy through exhibits and for the Orchestra’s planning of each season’s repertoire.
PROGRAMSKeyNote Education and Outreach Program ~ $25,000 to $1,000,000The
KeyNote Program brings classical music and its glorious history to the audiences of the future through music education and community involvement. Classical music is used as a vehicle for teaching compassion, nurturing our youth and enriching the cultural life of Israel. KeyNote has a wide variety of programs, bringing classical music into Jewish, Arab-Israeli, and religious and secular schools, from kindergarten to high school, throughout Israel.
Click here for more information on KeyNote.Concerts in Denim ~ $200,000The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is dedicated to inspiring young audiences’ through innovative educational programs and special concert series. In 1997 the IPO developed an exciting series called
Concerts in Denim. This annual series serves two vital purposes: to make music and culture more accessible to Israel’s young adults and to cultivate the next generation of the IPO’s concert patrons.
Preserve the Sound Fund ~ $250,000The
Preserve the Sound Fund is being established to provide the monies necessary to have an average of five extra musicians join the Orchestra. The concept is to ensure that the standard of musical excellence is not compromised while securing the senior members position in the Orchestra with an “apprentice”, who will work with them to cover rehearsals and performances. This will also provide a natural transition for a new member to participate fully as an IPO musician.
Ticket Subsidy Program ~ $100,000Each year, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra’s
Ticket Subsidy Program affords Israeli student musicians the opportunity to purchase IPO concert tickets at the Fredric R. Mann Auditorium at an 85% discount. In addition to attending the concerts, the students are also invited to meet with the IPO’s Education Director and an Orchestra member an hour before the performance. This project has long-term benefits for the students who are participating in a program which enriches their education with musical curriculums developed by the IPO.
Tour Subsidy ~ $50,000 to $500,000The IPO is Israel’s finest cultural emissary and travels throughout the world, particularly to countries where there is little or no Israeli representation. The goodwill created by these tours, which have included historic visits to Argentina, Poland, Russia, China and India, is of enormous value to the State of Israel. Underwriting direct tour expenses includes national and international airfare, ground transportation, and hotels. Principal
tour sponsorships underwrite tours and often include promotional consideration.
Family Concert Series ~ $300,000For 68 years the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra has created innovative programming to attract the interest and participation of young listeners and their families. The IPO
Family Concert Series, an annual five concert series, educates and exposes children and young teens to fascinating and diverse forms of classical music at affordable prices.
Youth Concert Series ~ $250,000The IPO
Youth Concert Series is a yearly five-part subscription concert series that targets young audiences and provides unique and educational concerts at reasonable prices to further expose young people to symphonic music. Concerts are often attended by entire families. Your gift is acknowledged in the concert series programs.
ZUBIN MEHTA INSTRUMENT FUND$25,000-$1,000,000
The
Zubin Mehta Instrument Fund provides immigrants with instruments who have come to the IPO without their personal instruments and cannot afford to purchase one. With your help, the world’s most brilliant musicians are being matched with the exceptional instruments acquired through the Instrument Fund. The acquisition of these instruments has been vitally important to maintaining the quality of the IPO’s sound and performance capabilities.
