At the newly renovated Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, AFIPO held its annual New York Gala. Co-Chaired by Rochelle and AFIPO Vice President David Hirsch and AFIPO President Elaine Wolfensohn and her husband James, patrons and guests enjoyed a pre-concert dinner in the lobby. Mrs. Wolfensohn welcomed everyone and encouraged them to continue their much needed and valuable support for the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The Associates Gala Co-Chairmen were Jason Hirsch, Jeffery Hirsch, Jillian Merns and Brooke Milstein.

The IPO concert was conducted by Pinchas Zukerman with guest cellist Amanda Forsyth. The outstanding performance included works by Haydn, Bruch and Tchaikovsky. Following the concert, guests returned to the lobby area, which had been transformed into two separate parties; a sumptuous dessert reception for the patrons and a buffet dinner for the Associates.

AFIPO offers its sincere gratitude to Ingeborg and Ira Leon Rennert for their underwriting of the Gala. Among the over 500 guests were: Israeli Ambassador Gabriela Shalev, Consul General Asaf Shariv, Judith and Stewart Colton, Shulamit and Chaim Katzman, Penny and Claudio Pincus, Judith and Burton Resnick and the Sandler Family.
