Family Music Day 2009
Celebrating the joy of music and Chanukah, multiple generations filled Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall for a fun filled
Family Music Day. The concert included an interactive musical program highlighting the “Brass Family” performed by the
Israel Philharmonic Orchestra KeyNote Brass Ensemble, featuring popular and classical music.
Participating musicians were Trumpet player
Yigal Meltzer, French Horn player
Yoel Abadi, Trombonist
Nir Erez and Tuba player
Shemuel Hershko. This wonderful ensemble frequently goes into schools in Israel as part of
KeyNote, the IPO Education and Outreach Program.
Following the performance, the guests enjoyed a brunch in the Rohatyn Room of Carnegie Hall with family activities including crafts, music and balloon and tattoo artists.
AFIPO wishes to express its gratitude to the Co-Chairmen for Family Music Day
Suzanne and
Jacob Doft and
Tricia and
Jason Pantzer.
